- 7/16" Hex (2x stiffer than standard round rod)
Two tip styles to choose from - standard or ball nose:
- Standard Tip: Features tapered edges for easier penetration and withdrawal from the ground.
- Ball Nose Tip: Features a rounded nose for delicate probing operations such as fiber optics, gas transmission lines, water lines, and other utilities.
Smart Stick™ tips are made of high strength alloy steel. They are heat-treated for added durability. The tip is slightly larger than the shaft to create a clearance hole so the soil probe rod will not drag against the ground.
